(“Of course, I f*cked up! Who never f*cked up hands in the air.” Said the governor in a press conference)
This week, Nairobi’s 3rd governor, Ann Kananu, hit the studio with Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif. The duo is set to release a remix to the hit song Kwaku the Traveller.
The move comes after the governor took away the Alchemist Bar’s trading license, crippling the business for a week.
“She put us out of business for a whole week without authenticating the racism claims against our establishment,” one of the owners lamented. “Where did she expect our customers to buy overpriced beer?”
“I was wrong.” Mrs. Kananu told reporters. “And as tradition requires, I dedicate this song to the club as an apology. This is not the first time a governor in Nairobi has turned into a recording artist.” She joked.
“We will only accept the apology when the governor registers as an artist under MCSK and receive Ksh 1500 after one year. She must suffer like everyone else.” Said the club’s owner.
