“In my defence, everyone appeared black.” The bouncer argued
Pandemonium ensued at the Alchemist Bar after everyone was kicked out when the power went out. Immediately the lights went out, the club’s bouncers stormed in and started throwing people out.
“In other places, we wait till lights come back on when there is an outage. Why the hell did the bouncers chase us out?” an Indian reveller complained.
Otis, a bouncer at the popular joint, told reporters that he had never been so confused.
“In the blink of an eye, I could only see dark faces. Na mdosi angeingia apate tumejaza hawa watu buana? Si ningekosa kazi kesho.” He said.
“What was more shocking is that some had Chinese and American accents as I kicked them out. Kenyans will do crazy things to sneak into a club,” Otis remarked. “Even learn foreign languages.”
“Anyway, I don’t know what happened to all the foreigners I saw getting in because everyone had left when the lights came back.”
